In the 127th episode of Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s encouraging words for the coffee sector have greatly boosted the morale of coffee growers. Coffee Board Member Talur A. Kishore Kumar expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister on behalf of all coffee growers in Karnataka.
In a press release, he stated that coffee cultivation is thriving in several regions of the country, particularly in Chikmagalur, Kodagu, and Hassan districts of Karnataka.
The Prime Minister’s remarks about coffee cultivation and the development of the coffee industry have inspired both growers and consumers.
He noted that the Prime Minister’s acknowledgment that 70 percent of India’s coffee is grown in Karnataka and that Indian coffee is world-renowned has given fresh motivation to all stakeholders in the industry.
Kishore Kumar added that with global demand for Indian coffee on the rise, the Prime Minister’s assurance of proper market arrangements has strengthened confidence among growers.
He lauded the Prime Minister’s efforts to popularize coffee through Mann Ki Baat and extended his heartfelt appreciation for the recognition given to the coffee community.
