The Kodagu district unit of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister through the district administration, demanding that the conspiracy related to the Dharmasthala constituency be investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED), citing it as a matter of national security.

The VHP alleged that attempts to undermine religious devotion at the Dharmasthala temple were orchestrated by anti-national elements with the intention of tarnishing its dignity at the international level. They claimed that certain international media outlets, known for anti-India reporting, have been systematically spreading false information about the temple.

The organization further alleged that lakhs of rupees have been spent on creating AI-generated short films, widely circulated on social media at a cost running into crores. Reports also suggest that foreign funds have been channelled into these activities, which, according to VHP, requires thorough investigation.

The petition also alleged that the SDPI, which it described as the political wing of the banned PFI, has been supporting the miscreants, complainants, and conspirators, thereby creating fear among the public.

Further, media reports have highlighted the involvement of certain NGOs allegedly linked to foreign Christian missionaries who are accused of inciting illegal conversions. The VHP leaders stated that these developments are not only serious but also pose a direct challenge to national security.

They urged the Central Government to order a comprehensive probe through the NIA and ED at the earliest. Those present during the submission of the memorandum included District President C.K. Bopanna, Secretary Pudiokkada Ramesh, Working President Suresh Muthappa, Vice Presidents D. Narasimha and Paramesh Koothi, Joint Secretary Yatish Nanjappa, Dharma Prasar Pramukh Shan Somanna, Seva Pramukh Raghu Anand, and Hemchandra of the Vidhi Prakoshta.
