Final-year students of the Forest College, Ponnampet, are residing in Ballale for 21 days as part of their rural work experience programme. The programme aims to familiarize students with rural life, provide opportunities for participation in socially relevant activities, and contribute to rural development.

As part of this, the students successfully organized a Vanamahotsava programme in association with the Gram Panchayat. They explained the importance of afforestation and called upon people to conserve greenery, protect environmental balance, and plant saplings for the benefit of future generations.

Grama Panchayat President K. Smita Ponnanna, Vice President Naveen, PDO Parameshwara, Senior Veterinary Department Officer Dr. Bavish, Panchayat members, and local villagers participated. Students, guests, and villagers planted saplings, pledging their commitment to environmental protection. Students also urged villagers to actively participate in upcoming programmes.
