Coorg Public School had the proud privilege of felicitating talented student, Aadya Singh, who recently made an impressive mark by reaching the Quarter-Finals of the Asian Surfing Championship which was held in India recently.
The special ceremony was held in the school Kalamanch and was attended by the President of the School Trust, Principal,Vice Principal, Academic Coordinators, faculty members, students and her parents.
The event began with a School Prayer and a warm welcome speech by the Academic Coordinator Sanchitha Chengappa, who highlighted Aadya’s achievements and dedication to the sport.

This was followed by a short video presentation showcasing Aadya Singh journey, training efforts, and glimpses from the championship.
Principal, Dr. M Ramchandran, then addressed the gathering and congratulated Aadya on her exceptional performance.
The Principal also highlighted the various efforts being made by the school to promote sports among students and his vision of COPS students participating in the 2036 Olympics.
Aadya was presented with a memento and a certificate of recognition as a token of appreciation from the President of the School Trust, K Dhanya Subbaiah. He also wished her the very best for all her future endeavors.
Aadya also shared a few words, expressing gratitude to the school management, Principal, her coaches, teachers and family for their constant support. She inspired her fellow students to pursue their dreams fearlessly and to never give up, regardless of the obstacles.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Vice Principal Veda Bopanna, followed by a round of applause from the audience that reflected the pride and admiration felt by all.
Aadya Singh is currently Ranked No 2 in the U 18 girls Category in India and her achievement is a moment of honour for the entire school, and her journey stands as a shining example of what determination and hard work can accomplish.
