Addressing students at the inauguration of the student union at D. Chennamma
Pre-University College, Kodagu Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) R. Aishwarya urged students to set clear goals and pursue them with determination, saying, “If you have the will to achieve your goal, you can achieve anything in life”.

She also called upon students to face victories and defeats with composure, and to avoid discouragement in challenging circumstances. Parvati, Headmistress of Garagandur Primary School, advised the new student union leaders to nurture good leadership qualities. The event was attended by D. Chennamma Educational Institution President Colonel B.G.V. Kumar, Secretary Madhu Bopanna, Principal Mandappa, Board Members T.P. Sandesh, and Headmistress Rita.

Physical Education Teacher Palaksha delivered the introductory speech, Lecturer Pavitha proposed the vote of thanks, Lecturer Pramila narrated the programme, and Lecturer Mohan Hegde introduced the office bearers of the student union.
