PGR Scindia, State Chief Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides, announced a Rs 2 crore grant for constructing a district training hall in Madikeri. The announcement was made during a meeting at the Ponnamma Kushalappa Bhavan.

Scindia emphasized the organization’s role in nation-building and social service. He praised the active participation of over 8 lakh students in Karnataka and called for strengthening the movement across schools.
District Chief Commissioner K.T. Baby Mathew stated that the training hall would focus on education and health awareness, especially among tribal children. Several officials and educators participated in the meeting and award ceremony.
