Dr. Shamant Bhat (25), a young medical practitioner from Kallugundi, succumbed to serious injuries sustained in a road accident involving a two-wheeler and a bus near Sonangeri, between Sullia and Bellare. Despite medical efforts, he did not recover.
Dr. Shamant was the son of renowned local physician Dr. Shyam Prasad Bhat. His untimely demise has left his parents and sister in mourning, and residents of Kallugundi, Sampaje, and Sullia have expressed deep condolences over the tragic loss.
