In a fitting tribute to one of India’s greatest military leaders, a statue of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw and a grand entrance gate were unveiled at the historic South Parade Ground in Bengaluru.

The newly constructed entrance gate, completed in just eight weeks, spans 66 feet in width and rises 20 feet high. It combines military precision with artistic elegance, reflecting the ethos of the Indian Army while embracing a blend of tradition and contemporary design.
At the center of the gate stands a 7-foot iron statue of Field Marshal Manekshaw, renowned for his leadership during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The statue is flanked by the insignia of the Southern Command and the Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area, symbolizing regional and national military pride.

Crowning the structure is the Indian Army crest, embodying the values, discipline, and spirit of the armed forces. The meticulously crafted installation serves as a lasting tribute to Field Marshal Manekshaw’s enduring legacy and his remarkable service to the nation.
