The All India Sainik Schools Intra Group (Group-H) Hockey Tournament 2025 was hosted by Sainik School Kodagu, Kudige, from 09 to 13 June 2025. The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from Sainik Schools Kazhakootam, Kalikiri, Amaravatinagar, and Kodagu.
The event was inaugurated on 09 June with a grand opening ceremony graced by the Officiating Principal, Squadron Leader Mohammad Shaji. All participating teams took part in an impressive march past. The matches were played on the Astro Turf Hockey Court at the nearby Sports School, Kudige, providing world-class facilities for the young athletes.
The closing ceremony, held on 13 June, was chaired by Wing Commander Prakash Rao, Officiating Principal. He felicitated the winners with medals, certificates, mementoes, and trophies. The champions were: Under-17 Boys – Sainik School Kazhakootam, Under-15 Boys – Sainik School Amaravatinagar, and Under-17 Girls – Sainik School Kalikiri. Host Sainik School Kodagu secured the overall second position, improving on its previous year’s performance.
In his closing address, the Principal appreciated the teams for their energy and sportsmanship, acknowledged outstanding players and goalkeepers, and expressed gratitude to the Sports School, Government of Karnataka, for their wholehearted support in making the event a grand success.
