In a tragic incident, Kookanur Purushottam (72) was killed on the spot after being attacked by a wild elephant near his estate in Karadigodu village. Doctors confirmed his death upon arrival at the hospital.
Purushottam is reported to be the father-in-law of Madikeri Tahsildar Praveen. State Wildlife Board Member Sanket Poovaiah, forest officials, police personnel, and local leaders visited the scene and offered condolences to the bereaved family.
