It is reported that planter Kolamba Vinu (50) was shot dead recently near Abhyat Mangala village under Madikeri Rural police station limits. When Vinu was checking pipes in the estate warehouse some unknown person shot him from behind and fled from the spot.
Kolamba Vinu, who was staying at Nanjarayapatna and the incident occurred when he was going to his estate in Abhyat Mangala village.
Madikeri Rural Police visited the spot. Property dispute is said to be the reason for the incident. Police are investigating the crime and are searching for the accused.
