Ground breaking ceremony performed by Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda

Development works worth Rs. 1 crore launched.

Today, MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda performed the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a park and playground at a cost of Rs. 5 lakh from the MLA’s fund and Rs. 2.50 lakh from the Municipality on the land donated by the late Cheriyamane Ponnappa from Gouli street in the city.

MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda performed the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of houses at a cost of about Rs. 90 lakh for 12 municipal workers at a cost of Rs. 7.50 lakh each in Ukkuda in the city, including distribution of chairs for Ambedkar Bhavan.

On this occasion, Madikeri Municipal Commissioner Ramesh, Municipal Council member and City Congress President B.Y. Rajesh, District President of Congress Women’s Unit Suraiya Abrar, prominent figures T.P. Ramesh, Naveen Ambekal, Sada Muddappa, former Municipal Council President Kaveramma Somanna, Ex-MLC Veena Achaiah and others were present.
