Final Voter List Published

As per the directions of the Election Commission of India, the work of revising the voter list with photograph was carried out in the months of October, November and December, and the final voter list of 208-Madikeri and 209-Virajpet assembly constituencies of Kodagu district has been published, said Deputy Commissioner Venkat Raja.

The final voter list was published on January 6th in the office of the District Election Officer, Sub-Divisional Officer’s office, Tahsildar’s office and all polling stations. Voters are requested to check the final voter list and confirm that their names are registered in the voter list.

During the voter list revision period, 1549 applications were received in Form-6 in Kodagu district, 1460 applications were accepted. 89 applications were rejected. 1631 applications were received under Form-7, 1549 applications were accepted. 82 applications were rejected. Similarly, 3123 applications were received under Form-8, 2,871 applications were accepted. 252 applications were rejected.

During the electoral roll revision period, Form-6 was received regarding the registration of young voters of 18-19 years, out of which 500 applications were received in the district, out of which 490 applications were accepted, and 10 applications were rejected.

Currently, as per the final electoral roll as on January 06, 2025, there are a total of 4,74,376 voters in the two assembly constituencies of Kodagu district. There are 2,32,042 male and 2,42,321 female voters in 552 polling stations, and 13 other voters.

When the final voter list published on 06-01-2025 is compared with the draft voter list published on 29-10-2024, it is said that there is a net change of 279 voters from the two assembly constituencies.

The current voter list is being revised continuously, and during this period, applications can be submitted in Form-6 to add names to the voter list. In case of death, displacement, repetition, an application can be submitted in Form-7 to remove names, the DC said.

If the entries in the voter list and voter identity card are incorrect, an application can be submitted in Form-8 to make corrections and to transfer from one polling station to another in the assembly constituency.

Applications for Form-6, 6A, 7 and 8 are to be submitted directly online through the mobile application VOTER HELPLINE APP developed by the Election Commission of India and  VOTERS’ SERVICE PORTAL at https://voters.eci.gov.in/

In order to provide information to the voters regarding the electoral roll and elections, the Election Commission of India has developed the VOTER HELPLINE APP mobile application and all the voters/citizens are requested to download the VOTER HELPLINE APP on their mobile phones.

Publication of Service Voters List:
As per the directions of the Election Commission of India, the final list of service voters for 208-Madikeri and 209-Virajpet assembly constituencies of Kodagu district was published on January 06. There are 1343 service voters in Kodagu district. Out of this, 1,284 are male and 59 are female service voters, said Deputy Commissioner Venkat Raja.
