Members of the Hindu Hitharakshana Samaiti, held a massive protest march and meeting in Madikeri to condemn the atrocities being committed by the fanatical government in neighbouring Bangladesh on the minority Hindus and demanding protection for Hindus in Bangladesh.
After offering a special pooja at Sri Chowdeshwari temple in Madikeri, the leaders of the committee and Hindu activists held a massive protest march in the main streets of Madikeri and demanded that the central government should take necessary steps to prevent the atrocities on the Hindu community in Bangladesh and that the world organization should play an important role in solving the problem. Traders voluntarily closed their shops from 11 am to 12 pm extending support to the protest and thousands of people, carrying saffron flags marched in the protest.
Addressing the protest meeting at Gandhi Mantapa, Muralikrishna Hasantadka, former co-convenor of Bajrang Dal’s South Province and a social activist, said that atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh should be stopped. He warned that the entire Hindu society would give a strong reply to those who wronged the Hindus at the fringes of the society.
By raising their voices against the atrocities on minority Hindus in Bangladesh, Hindus all over the world should give a shock to the evil forces that are trying to destroy the Hindu society he said and added that the Hindu society should be made aware of by creating the attitude that we are all Hindus, we are all one and leaving aside our caste differences.
In 1971, India granted independence to the then East Pakistan, today’s Bangladesh, which was under the grip of Pakistan. He expressed his concern that there is literally inhumane attack and atrocities on the Hindu society in such Bangladesh now.
After 1947 till date, 3 crore Hindus have been killed in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Muralikrishna warned that such a situation could arise here too and called upon Hindus to be aware and be united.
Murali Krishna Hasantadka said there was a possibility of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh being present in Kodagu with fake documents of Assam state. He demanded that the police department should search for such illegal people and send them back to their country. He also warned that if the number of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh continue to increase in Kodagu, then it could pose a significant threat in the future.
Ajit Kukkera, the leader of the Hindu Hitharakshana Samaiti said that there is no one to listen to the Hindus of India in Bangladesh eventhough India is the reason for the rise of Bangladesh. Now the situation has come where Islamic terrorist forces are planning to attack Hindus and forcing them to go out of Bangladesh. During natural calamities, ISKCON leaders who provided food to the people there regardless of caste now they were all jailed.
At present there are more than four crore illegal Bangladeshi citizens in India. Demanding that these infiltrators be identified and send them back. He further said that the struggle was designed with the aim of making the central government aware of the atrocity and thereby United Nation has to intervene and give justice to Hindus in Bangladesh.
He alsoblamed human rights activists who should raise their voice about the inhumane atrocities on the Hindu community in Bangladesh are hiding now and added that it is reprehensible that the politicians who are currently pretending to be secular are doing politics of appeasement and cooking their rice.
