Solitary Walks 45 – Leaves Fall-ing written by Dr K M George received unprecedented comments and interest from across the world. Amongst others, it caught the attention of a very talented person – Mithali – to share her spontaneous poetry on not just this subject, but her varied interests as described below. Mithali P. Rai is an educator, poet, writer and is intrigued by people, places, traditions, customs, culture, folklore, food, movies, science, Universe and more….
She believes in minimalism and trying hard to be a minimalist – but this world is beautiful and she wants to have it all.
Her academic background is in Journalism and English Literature from Mangalore University. A Lecturer by profession and also a Principal of a PU college.

In short I am an analogue person in this digital world.
LAPSE
Green leaves
full of chlorophyll
and life and shimmers…
Did you just
sneer at
crumpled and
rumpled
hue-less, lifeless
dry leaves
that are crushed
underneath the feet
of passersby?
Do you know
that once upon a time
they too were
full of glow, glory
shine and hue
just like you?
And looking
at the cocky
attitude of
fluttering leaves
TIME smiled
and silently
passed by…

I am so much inspired by the poems and poets too. LAPSE was a masterpiece. CAGE was breathtaking.
I especially like the poets raw and gritty way of expressions. Hats off to CLN. Keep growing.
Life is like a tree. Every Leaf is a dream, it may be big or small. When the leaves fall, dreams disappear but when the trees have new leaves, life has a new wonderful thing. Just learn how to wait and have faith.
