President of Madikeri Kodava Samaja Maduvanda P. Muthappa inaugurated Kakkada festival at Kodava Samaja, Madikeri recently. The program was jointly organised by Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy and PommakkadaKoota and Kodava Samaja, Madikeri. The programme was presided over by the President of Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy A. C. Mahesh Nachaiah.

Renowned Entrepreneur Kuppanda Chaya Nanjappa from Mysore, and Kannanda Kavitha Bollappa, president of Madikeri Kodava Samaja, Pommakkada group were the chief guests of the function. 

Mouth watering delicacies like, ‘Madd payisa, “Thate soppupalya,’ ‘Chekkerakuvel putt,” chicken curry ‘pandi curry,’ crab curry, ‘Baimbale curry, “Kad mange curry, and others were highlight at the festival. 

Speaking on the occasion Kuppanda Chaya Nanjappa said that self-confidence and hard work will help to achieve success and there is nothing impossible in life.

Monnanda Shobha Subbaiah gave a presentation on the topic “Kakkada ThingatraNaipu-Paipu-Tini”. 

All members of the academy participated in the programme.  Exhibition and sale of books published by the Academy were also held on the occasion. Various cultural programs were highlight of the programme.
