A Growing Collection of Wild Orchids from Kodagu

Mac Mandappa has sent this post in response to the orchid post by Dr Bishan Monnappa.

Mac is an experienced coffee planter with varied interests. A quiet and distinguished alumni of Madras Christian College, Mac had the most unique experience and learnings in spending his post graduation time of his formative years as a adult life at Kibbutz Givat in Israel (also the name of his farm near Kushalnagar). An accomplished marksmen, keen angler, committed environmentalist and on the Governing Body of Coorg Wildlife Society and Coorg Rifle Association for as long as he can remember.

The family has collected wild orchids and flowers for decades. The pictures are a collection from his country garden.

    These are some of the most exquisite wild orchids I’ve ever seen. Would love to visit Kibbutz Givat in person sometime.
