Hit by speeding car…spotted deer dies

Hit by a speeding car a spotted deer died recently after suffering severe injuries in the head on the National Highway passing through Anekadu reserve forest area in Guddehosuru Gram Panchayat (GP) limits.

The deer which came from Anekadu forest was trying to cross the road. The car, which had come from a car showroom in Kushalnagar, hit the deer and severely injuring the animal. The male deer is estimated to be 11 years old.

Kushalnagar Range Forest Officer Ratan Kumar, Anekadu Reserve Forest Deputy Range Forest Officer Devaiah and personnel conducted a spot inspection. A case has been registered against car driver Ravi, under Wild Life Preservation Act
