A tiger which was spotted on a road next to a coffee plantation at near Mayamudi recently has creating a panic among the local residents.
It is reported that the residents spotted the tiger roaming around in the coffee plantation belonging to Puchimada Sharanu. They alerted the Titimati Range Forest Officer. Alerted Forest officials have taken up an operation to trace the tiger.
It may be recalled here that a tiger had killed a goat near Mattur two days ago. The residents have urged the Forest department to capture the tiger and translocate it. The movement of tigers has increased over the last few days, they added.
