Kodagu district police have arrested three persons on charges of illegally selling and supplying the banned drug ganja in Ibnivalavadi village under the jurisdiction of the Madikeri Rural Police Station.
Acting on specific information received from the public, the police conducted a raid and took the accused into custody along with the contraband.

The arrested persons have been identified as Abhilash Abhi K.J. (29) of Eravanadu village, Akash P.V. (20) of Makkandur village and Milan A.C. (21) of Haleri village.
Police seized 2 kg and 136 grams of ganja, a pick-up jeep allegedly used in the crime and Rs 1,310 in cash.
Madikeri Sub-Division DySP Suraj P.A., Madikeri Rural Police Station PI Chandrashekhar H.V., PSI Gopal and other police personnel, along with DCRB personnel, participated in the operation.
Kodagu District Superintendent of Police R.N. Bindumani praised the officers and staff who cracked the case.
In order to prevent young men and women from ruining their lives through drug addiction, the Kodagu District Police appealed to the public to provide information regarding the use or sale of drugs to the nearest police station or through the 112 emergency helpline. Information can also be provided through the KSP TantraAsha platform. The police clarified that the identities and details of informers would be kept confidential.
