One of the most beautiful swallowtails I have seen….Never to sit still for a second.(except when its mud puddling)

The Sahyadri Paris Peacock (Papilio paris tamilana), also called the Tamil Peacock, is a rare swallowtail butterfly.

It is native to the Western Ghats in southern India.
It features a black body with bright green dusting and a large, striking blue patch on its hindwings.

Fast flyer. Likes to visit wet mud patches to drink water and take in minerals.
