Jammada Preeth Appaiah has successfully summited Mount Kosciuszko, Australia’s highest peak, marking her third major summit.
Carrying the Indian Tricolour, Appaiah dedicated the achievement to her roots, family and everyone who has inspired her to pursue her passion for mountaineering.
The achievement marks another milestone in her climbing journey, which has taken her from the hills of Kodagu and the Chamundi Hills of Mysuru to the summit of Australia.
Appaiah is the daughter of late Hony. Capt. Kunjiyanda M. Appaiah and Gowramma Appaiah, and the wife of Advocate Jammada M. Aiyanna.
In 2023, she summited Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, followed by Mount Elbrus in Russia in 2025.
With three summits now completed, Appaiah has set her sights on four more, with the goal of completing seven summits.
