Peaceful voting held at Kodagu for Mysore-Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency

A.S.Ponnanna, Virajpet MLA and Chief Minister’s Legal Adviser voted along with his wife Kanchana Ponnanna and brother Naren Kariappa at Booth No. 246, Bellur, Hudikeri.

Dr. Mantar Gowda, MLA of Madikeri Assembly Constituency voted with his wife Divya at Booth No. 74 (Nagarur) of Balagunda Government Senior Primary School of Belur Gram Panchayat Bajegundi. 

Mysore-Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency BJP candidate Yaduveer voted in Mysore along with his mother Pramoda Devi Wodeyar and wife Trishika.

Congress candidate for Mysore-Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency M. Laxman voted in Mysore at Yadavagiri Sunanda Public School, Mysore along with his wife and children

Former MLA K.G. Bopaiah voted among with his wife Kunti Bopaiah and daughter Yashika, at junior college premises, Madikeri. Shantheyanda Veena Acchaiah, former MLC voted with his son at the CMC school polling booth in Mahadevpet, Madikeri.

Senior Politician Mittu Changappa voted along with his wife Yashi Changappa exercised their right to democracy by being the first to vote for the 31st time at the polling station of St. MichalesHigh School in Madikeri. 82-year-old Mittu Changappa, who has held many posts as AICC member, KPCC vice-president and general secretary, is an inspiration to young voters.

Shree Mahanta Swamiji of Kallu Matt, Kodlipet voted at the Kodlipet polling station.  Shree Immadi Shivalinga Swamiji of Shidigalle Matt casted his vote at the Harehosur polling station, Shanivarsanthe.  Shree Shanta Mallikarjuna Swamiji of VirajpetArameri Matt casted his vote at Arameri Primary School Polling Station, Virajpet.

Senior citizens in various parts of Kodagu inspired the young voters by coming to the polling booths and casting their votes. BopperaKaveerappa (98) voted in booth number 56 of Napoklu. Honnamma (85) of Chaudloo village cast her vote at the polling station of the Government Pre-Graduation College along with an assistant.

Many young voters who voted for the first time in many polling booths, participated in the voting process and celebrated by voting for the first time.

Kodagu District Deputy Commssioner (DC) VenkatRaja, Kodagu Z.P. Chief Executive Officer Varneet Negi, Superident of Police K. Ramarajan and Assistant Commssioner Vinayak Narvade voted also voted and then he spread awareness about voting by sending the message “I have voted”.

 In a tragic incidence Manohar (58) of Kongana village of Ponnampet taluk who collapsed aftervoting and diedon his way to Gonikoppa hospital for treatment. The incidence occured at polling booth number 179 of B. Shettigeri village.
