Homestay License Cancelled Following Sexual Assault Case

Following the incident of sexual assault on a foreign tourist, the district administration has cancelled the licence of  Devi Villa Homestay in Kutta village, located in the Cinchona Estate.

Kodagu Deputy Commissioner Somashekar ordered the cancellation of the licence, despite it being valid until 2029, in view of the seriousness of the case.

At present, the owner and staff have been arrested by the police.
