NHRC Invites Entries for Short Film Competition 2026

The National Human Rights Commission of India has invited entries for its 12th edition of the National Human Rights Short Film Competition-2026.

The Commission has been conducting the competition annually since 2015 to promote awareness and a culture of human rights. Citizens across the country can submit entries online.

Cash prizes of Rs. 2 lakh, Rs. 1.5 lakh and Rs. 1 lakh will be awarded for the first, second and third best films respectively. In addition, up to four films recommended by the jury will receive certificates along with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 each.

Short films must be between 3 and 10 minutes in duration and can be in Hindi or any Indian language, with English subtitles. The last date for submission is June 30, 2026. Entries must be sent online via Google Drive to the designated email.

Detailed guidelines and application forms are available on the official NHRC website. The competition is open to all, with no age restrictions.
