The 9th round of the Foot-and-Mouth Disease vaccination campaign under the National Livestock Disease Control Programme will be conducted from April 23 to May 22.
Deputy Commissioner S.J. Somashekhar emphasized the importance of ensuring complete coverage. Officials noted that vaccination is the only effective method to control this contagious disease affecting cattle.
Over 52,985 cattle and 2,136 buffaloes are being vaccinated in the district.
