The Police Flag Day celebration and Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa Trophy distribution ceremony was held at the Madikeri Police Parade Ground.
Air Marshal (Retd.) K.C. Cariappa presented the Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa Trophy to N.S. Thimmaiah, Head Constable in the Computer Department of the District Superintendent of Police’s office.
H.S. Sudhir of the District Armed Police Force was awarded the Police Trophy by Superintendent of Police R.N. Bindu Mani for his exemplary service.
Retired PSI K.B. Achamma, the chief guest, received a guard of honour and recalled her participation in past parades. She appreciated the initiative of honouring retired personnel and advised serving officers to prioritise their health.
Speakers highlighted the importance of discipline, integrity, and public cooperation in maintaining law and order. Several senior police officials, public representatives, and retired personnel were present.
