Sainik School Kodagu organized a vibrant Inter-House Cultural Competition for the academic year 2025-26 at the KMP Hall, marked by enthusiastic participation from all cadets. The event showcased creativity, teamwork, and talent across four categories: Group Song on the theme “The Future is Ours,” Skit on “Digital Mirror: Technology and Ethics,” Folk Dance depicting legends, folklore, and village traditions, and Group Dance on “Freestyle Cinematic”.
The competition witnessed spirited performances from all houses, making it a closely contested event. Cariappa House emerged as the overall champion, earning accolades for their outstanding performances.
The occasion also marked a poignant farewell to the outgoing Class XII cadets of the 13th batch. Wing Commander Mohammad Shaji, Vice Principal addressed the gathering and shared insightful reflections on the cadets’ journey. He spoke about their initial struggles, rigorous physical training, demanding academic schedules, and active participation in co-curricular activities. He highlighted how these experiences shaped their personalities, transforming them into confident and capable individuals ready to face future challenges.

Colonel Amar Jeet Singh, the Principal, presented school mementos to the cadets in recognition of their journey and contributions. In his address, he appreciated the cadets for their commendable performances, which reflected confidence, teamwork, and the ability to express meaningful ideas through creative platforms. He fondly recalled their transformation since joining the institution and emphasized the core values instilled during their time at the school.
He urged the cadets to uphold integrity, courage, loyalty, and resilience in all walks of life. Stressing the importance of discipline and character building, he encouraged them to maintain physical fitness, nurture a positive attitude, and stay away from addictions and negative influences while always choosing the right path.
The event concluded with the distribution of prizes and mementos to the winners and outgoing cadets. School Cadet Captain Hriday proposed the vote of thanks, reflecting on his eight-year journey and expressing gratitude to the officers, teaching and administrative staff, NCC personnel, and junior cadets for making their school life memorable.
Theprogrammeended on an emotional yet inspiring note, celebrating achievements while bidding a warm farewell to the graduating cadets. Among those present on the occasion were Sub Maj (Hon Lt) Ram Lal, Mrs Rita Kumari, Mrs Divya Singh, Wing Commander P. Prakash Rao (Administrative Officer), Senior Master Dr C. S. Anupama, Vidushi Angel Rashmi De’Souza, Ms Rutu N. Raj, along with all teaching and administrative staff, NCC PI Staff, and cadets.
