Kiriyamada Ratan Thammaiah has been elected President of the Cosmopolitan Club, Madikeri, one of the most prestigious clubs in Kodagu district, for a term of two years.
The election was held during a board meeting on March 21.
Mukkaira Sanju Ponnappa was elected General Secretary, while Sanjay H.L. will serve as Vice-President.
Established over 121 years ago, the club currently has a membership of 240. Thammaiah has also previously served in various capacities within the Rotary organisation.
