Kumki elephant Abhi (21), who was a regular feature in elephant capture operations passed away atMattigodu Elephant campon Sunday evening.
Abhi had reportedly been suffering from leg pain for the past six months. A post-mortem examination was conducted by Dr. Ramesh.
Forest department staff performed the last rites, and senior forest officials including the DFO and DCF visited the camp.
