The Central Committee of the Akhila Kodava Samaja was constituted during a special general body meeting held at Kaveri Kalyana Mantapa in Virajpet.
Established in 1942, the organisation has been working for the welfare of the Kodava community since pre-Independence. The newly formed committee includes representation from various ‘nads’ of Kodagu, with several new faces inducted.
The selection process was finalised under the chairmanship of President Desha ThakkaParadanda Subramani Kaverappa.
A total of 43 members were assigned responsibilities across various roles, including Nad Thakkas, Kodava Samaja representatives, legal advisors, and community representatives, ensuring broad representation of the Kodava community, including women and youth.
