Report hazardous electric poles and wires, public urged

Comments:

The Executive Engineer of the Electricity Supply and Maintenance Department has urged the public to report dangerous electric wires and dilapidated poles to prevent accidents.

In many parts of Kodagu district, power lines pass through plantations, and falling tree branches often damage poles and wires, posing serious risks. The department has cautioned against using aluminium ladders and sprinkler pipes near power lines, as they can lead to fatal accidents.

The public has been advised to use bamboo or fibre ladders instead and to cooperate with the department to prevent electrical mishaps.
