The Brahmagiri Sahodaya Ookakuta Sports Meet was recently organised at Kodagu Vidyalaya, Madikeri.

Students from Sainik School Kodagu, Crescent School Madikeri, Ankur Public School Napoklu, SMS Vidyapeeth Armeri, National Academy Gonikoppa, St. Ann’s Convent Siddapura and KVG International Public School,Sullia, participated in the competition.

Mahesh R.P., Field Education Officer and chief guest, congratulated all the participants. Guest of honour Pushpa Subbaiah inaugurated the meet, stating that victory and defeat are part of sports, but it is essential to recognise the unique talent in every student.

The Best Sportsperson Award in the primary category was won by Deepika D.D. (girls) and Thimmaiah M.K. (boys), while Irshan (high school boys) and Hitha N.B. (high school girls) bagged the honours in their respective categories. Kodagu Vidyalaya, the host institution, won the overall championship trophy.

Principal Sumitra K.S., Administrator Ravi P., physical education teachers, students and parents were present.
