Tasmai Cariappa has clinched the Champion of the Year title in the SP 400cc category at the 2025 BRIC Superbike 400cc Championship, becoming the first Indian to secure the overall championship in this class. The final races were held recently at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram.
Representing AVRP Racing Team, Cariappa delivered a standout season marked by remarkable consistency. He achieved podium finishes in all five races across four rounds, including two race victories and two third-place finishes, sealing his place at the top of the standings.
Cariappa’s season featured several notable milestones. In Round 2, he claimed a decisive win in the 400cc category. Earlier in the season, during his international debut, he secured second place in the SP400 class, becoming the fourth Indian ever to reach the podium at the championship.
