The 41st National Eye Donation Fortnight was observed at the Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) in association with the District Health and Family Welfare Department and the Kodagu District Blindness Control Institute.
Principal of KIMS Dr. Vishal Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer Rohini, Medical Superintendent Dr. Somashekar, District Blindness Control Institute Programme Officer Dr. Sanath Kumar, RMO Dr. Abhinandan B., Head of the Department of Ophthalmology Dr. Kripalini Ayyappa, SOTTO Nodal Officer Dr. Nishid Joseph, Academic Registrar Dr. Ravikiran Kisan, Head of the Department of ENT Dr. Shwetha and Associate Professor Dr. Satyaki were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vishal Kumar highlighted the importance of eye donation and the need to create greater public awareness about it.
Chief Administrative Officer Rohini said that Eye Donation Fortnight is observed every year from August 25 to September 8.
