The Madikeri Dasara Committee, led by Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda, met Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and requested a grant for the Madikeri Dasara celebrations.
Responding immediately to the request, the Chief Minister announced a grant of Rs 2 crore.
The delegation included Madikeri Dasara Committee Vice-President Mahesh Jaini, Dasara Working President B.K. Arun Kumar, General Secretary Arun Shetty, Treasurer Sabita, Secretary Mudduraj, Das Mantapa Committee President Poonacha, General Secretary Vinod Prakash Acharya, Secretary Mohan Gajendra Jagadish and other office-bearers of the Dasara Committee.
