In the recently held State Level Brainobrain Abacus Competition, held at Dr. Babu Jagajeevan Ram, Research Institute Bangalore, over 2,000 children from over 80 centre competed from all over Karnataka and a few Gulf countries.
Madikeri Centre headed by Mapangada Kavitha Karumbaiah, participated with 50 children and eventually won 24 Champion Trophies; 16 Gold Topper Medals and 10 Silver Topper Medals, getting a 100% result.
The occassion was graced by Anand Subramanian (M. D. of Brainobrain International); Arul Subramanian (Director Technical); Neelkamal S. (Regional Director, Karnataka) all the Franchisee and Faculties.
Kavitha Karumbaiah won the ‘Best Faculty’ and ‘Best Franchisee’ Award.
Brainobrain is a Skill development programme which takes the children to greater heights of accuracy, confidence, concentration and multitasking skills. The Children are required to do around 60-75 complex sums in just 3 minutes time, which requires tremendous speed, accuracy and mental agility.
Kavitha Karumbaiah attributed all the Credit to the Children, who performed in that 3 minutes and to the parents, who took the initiative to take the children to Bangalore. A lot of Children, were first timers and just introduced to Abacus. Special credit and thanks was attributed to those kids and their parents for their efforts put in and there determination to participate.
