Rotary Madikeri commemorated Doctors’ Day and Chartered Accountants’ Day in a meaningful manner during its weekly meeting held at the Rotary Hall in the city. Addressing the gathering, Rotary Madikeri President Manohar Kamath lauded the invaluable services rendered by doctors in the healthcare sector and chartered accountants in the field of finance, acknowledging their significant contributions to society.

On the occasion, Rotary members who are medical professionals, Dr. K. Ravi Appaji, Dr. Sandeep Jaipurkar, Dr. M.A. Kuttappa, Dr. Raghavan, Dr. Minal Jaipurkar and Dr. Shithil Kuttappa, along with chartered accountants Ishwar Bhat, Amar Sharma and Vinuta Sharma, were felicitated and honoured in recognition of their dedicated professional service. Rotary member Dr. Sandeep Jaipurkar delivered a special lecture on the topic “OuchiteOchinanades, IiveHenanades.” During his address, he highlighted the importance of maintaining muscle health through regular exercise, a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle, emphasising that these are essential for overall well-being.
Rotarian Mallige Pai presented a brief report on the Municipal School Project, outlining the progress achieved and the various community service initiatives undertaken under the project.

Among those present were Rotary leaders Ratan Thammaiah, Mrinalini Chinnappa, SudayNanaiah, P.T. Ganapathy, Parvati Cheyanna, Eeramanda Harini Vijay, Prince Ponnanna, D.M. Kiran, and other members.
President Manohar Kamath welcomed the gathering, while Secretary B.M. Somanna proposed the vote of thanks. Prior to the commencement of the programme, the President was ceremonially presented with the Rotary collar in accordance with Rotary protocol.
