As part of the Kargil Vijay Diwas observance, NCC cadets of Kodagu Vidyalaya organized a cleanliness drive at the statue of Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa in Madikeri.
The cadets cleaned the statue as well as the surrounding premises as a mark of respect to the legendary military leader and in remembrance of the soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, the school’s Principal, K.S. Sumitra, said such initiatives play an important role in remembering the sacrifices of the nation’s soldiers while also instilling a sense of civic responsibility and patriotism among students.
