Government Committed to Rural Development, Says MLA A.S. Ponnanna
The newly developed Chettimani-Kundacherry-Kanakandi road, constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 1.25 crore under the Kundacherry Gram Panchayat, was inaugurated by Virajpet MLA A.S. Ponnanna.
Addressing a public meeting held at the village community hall after inaugurating the road, Ponnanna said that the State Government remains committed to the development of rural areas by providing essential infrastructure and basic civic amenities.

Speaking on the occasion, K.U. Harish, former Vice-President of the Gram Panchayat and a District Congress Committee (DCC) member, recalled that the Chettimani-Kundacherry-Kanakandi road had remained in a dilapidated condition, riddled with potholes, for nearly 25 years. Responding to repeated requests from local residents, MLA Ponnanna had performed the Bhumi Puja for the road development project six months ago. With the completion of the work, the asphalted road has now been opened to public traffic, fulfilling a long-pending demand of the villagers. He appreciated the MLA for ensuring the timely completion of the project and commended the quality of the road construction.
During the programme, MLA A.S. Ponnanna, Executive Engineer Girish, and contractor K.T. Sathish were felicitated in recognition of their contribution to the successful execution of the project.
