Preethi Kunjiyanda Wins Two Gold Medals at Karnataka State Championship

Mysuru: Preethi Kunjiyanda Appaiah, wife of Jammada Ashwin Aiyanna, Senior Advocate, Mysuru, has won two gold medals at the 14th Karnataka State Open Sight Shooting Championship & Competition 2026, being held at the SAI Shooting Range in Bengaluru.

Preethi clinched the gold medals in the following events:

  • .177 Open Sight 10m Air Rifle Senior Master Women (NR)
  • .177 Open Sight 10m Air Rifle Master Women (NR)

A student of the Mysore Sports Shooting Academy (MSSA), Preethi is coached by Vivek H. S. She began formal shooting training in 2024 and has made remarkable progress within a short span.

Earlier this year, in January, she won two gold medals at the Jagadale State-Level Shooting Competition, held at the Karnataka State Rifle Association (KSRA), SAI Shooting Range, Bengaluru, further establishing herself as one of the promising shooters in the Master’s category.
