Each participant may submit a maximum of two self-taken and published news photographs. There is no geographical restriction on the entries.

The competition is exclusively meant for news photographers. Participants should download and fill in the prescribed application form available on the Karnataka Media Academy website and submit it along with the images and a passport-size photograph to fo************@***il.com on or before 5 p.m. on June 30, 2026. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.

A panel of three experienced judges in the field of news photography will select the award-winning photographs and those to be exhibited, and their decision will be final.
