Madikeri MLA Dr. Mantar Gowda performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Amma Kodava Samaj building near the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in the city. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Gowda said that the government is committed to the development and progress of all communities and assured that the proposed building would be completed with quality standards and within the stipulated timeframe.
Several members and office-bearers of Amma Kodava Samaj attended the programme, including Machamanda B. Madammayya, Gouramma Madammayya, Narimanda B. Palaksha, Revathi Palaksha, Kondiyamma Ada Kishore Kumar, Indira Kishore Kumar, Neriyandamada Janardhan and other committee members.
Madikeri City Congress President Prakash Acharya, Mahila Congress City President Sasikala, Block Congress President H.A. Hansa, prominent personalities V.G. Mohan, Hariprasad, Yash, Pavithra, Leela Sheshamma, Suri, Subramani, Vasanth Bhat, Habib, Sharanu, Manjunath, Kochan Chethan and several party workers and supporters were also present.
