MP Yaduveer Wadiyar Issues Clarification After Meeting Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw: No Railway Route Proposal Through Kodagu. Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha Member of Parliament Shri Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar has clarified that there is presently no proposal before the Ministry of Railways regarding any railway route passing through Kodagu district.
The clarification follows his meeting with Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, during which various railway infrastructure and connectivity issues concerning the Mysuru-Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency were discussed.
Shri Yaduveer stated that certain reports and discussions circulating in recent days had created apprehension among a section of the public regarding the possibility of a railway line being routed through Kodagu. However, during his interaction with the Railway Minister, it was confirmed that no such proposal is currently under consideration by the Ministry.
The MP emphasized that before any future infrastructure project concerning the region is taken up, all stakeholders would be consulted and due consideration would be given to the environmental, geographical, and developmental interests of the district.
Reiterating his commitment to the balanced development of Kodagu while preserving its unique ecological and cultural heritage, Shri Yaduveer assured citizens that he would remain in constant touch with the Railway Ministry on matters relating to improved connectivity and infrastructure development for the benefit of the region.
The MP appealed to the public not to be misled by speculative reports and assured that any official developments in this regard would be communicated transparently through appropriate channels.
