The ‘SantvanaMahila Sahayavani’, established on November 4, 2002, by the Karnataka State Women and Child Development Department at the Kodagu District Child Welfare Institute, has been providing immediate assistance and counselling to distressed women across all sections of society in Kodagu district.

So far, 5,755 cases have been registered at the Santvana Kendra, of which 5,729 have been resolved. During the financial year 2025-26, a total of 336 cases were registered, of which 313 have been disposed of. The remaining 26 cases, including those carried forward from the previous year, are currently under process.

In the financial year 2025-26, a total of Rs 5,15,000 has been disbursed to beneficiaries through the Santvana Kendra and court interventions in various cases.
