Scooter Rider Injured in Sudden Encounter with Wild Elephant

A 65-year-old scooter rider sustained injuries after losing control of his vehicle on spotting a wild elephant crossing the road near Kaimani.

The injured, identified as Armugam of Poojekall, was rushed to Kutta Hospital by forest personnel.

Following instructions from MLA A.S. Ponnanna, forest staff have intensified patrolling in elephant-prone areas. Teams led by the Srimangala Range Forest Officer are conducting regular monitoring from 6 am to 8 pm along key roads.
