Team Strikers Clinch Muneeshwara Cricket League 2026 Title

Team Strikers emerged as champions of the inaugural Muneeshwara Cricket
League 2026 leather ball tournament, organised by the Muneeshwara Youth Association.

Eight teams from across the district participated in the eight-day tournament held at General Thimmaiah District Stadium.

In the final, MYCC Madikeri were bowled out for 99 runs. Team Strikers chased the target comfortably, winning by six wickets in 14.2 overs.

At the prize distribution ceremony, the winning team received Rs 50,000 and a trophy, while the runners-up were awarded Rs 30,000 and a trophy.

Shivashakti of Team Strikers was named Man of the Series, Best Batsman, and Player of the Final. Raju (MYCC) won Best Bowler, Sharan (Strikers) Best Fielder, Jashwant Bopanna (KA12 Lions) Emerging Player, and Prajwal (Strikers) Best Wicketkeeper.

Chief guest Circle Inspector Raju praised the association for its contributions to social, religious, and sporting activities.

Social worker Noojibailu Jaya and umpire M.K. Kaverappa, who officiated 330 overs, were felicitated.
