The Jomale Kodava Pommakkada Club organised its first inter-Kodava Pommakkada throwball tournament at Chettalli High School grounds.
Former MLC Shantheyanda Veena Achaiah, inaugurating the event, praised the initiative for promoting sportsmanship and unity among Kodava women.

A total of 16 teams from across Kodagu, Mysuru, and Bengaluru participated. The event was exclusively for married women and witnessed enthusiastic participation.
Organisers stated that the initiative aims to promote rural talent and community bonding, with plans for more social activities in the future.
The Mysore Kodava Pommakkada Club emerged as champions in the inter-Kodava Pommakkad throwball tournament held at Chettalli.

The Ponnampet Kodava Riders Club secured second place, while the Sri Talacauvery PommakkadaKoota (Mysore) and Madikeri team (B team) finished third and fourth respectively.
Individual awards were also presented, with Shahena from Mysore named Best Player.

Organisers and community leaders lauded the participation and highlighted the role of women in promoting community activities.
