The Kodagu Arebhashe Gowda community felicitated Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda in Bengaluru recently. The event was held in the presence of Virajpet MLA and Chief Minister’s Legal Advisor Ajjikuttira S. Ponnanna and Kodagu District Congress President Teethira Dharmaja Uthappa.
It may be recalled that during a recent Arebhashe Gowda community function in Bengaluru, the Chief Minister had assured the allotment of land for community development. Fulfilling this commitment, he has approved the allotment of six acres of land near Katakeri in Made village, Madikeri taluk, for establishing a cultural, educational, and sports centre for the Arebhashe Gowda community.
The Chief Minister was also felicitated at Kaveri Niwas for approving the amendment to the Karnataka State Revenue Bill, 2025, aimed at addressing the long-pending and complex Jamma Bane issue affecting Kodagu residents for decades. The Revenue Minister was honoured at his residence as well, where community leaders held discussions on related matters.
Prominent members of the Arebhashe Gowda community, including Kolya Girish, Surtale Somanna, Pulakanda Sandeep, Kaleramma Nanda, Ponnachchana Madhu, Kombana Praveen, Nangaru Nanaiah, Panthale Palangappa, Kaikera Manohar, Aame Seetharam, Periyana Ghanshyam, Moolemajalu Amitha, and Chokkadi Prema Raghavaiah, were present.
