The Kodagu district administration accorded a warm farewell to outgoing Deputy Commissioner Venkat Raja, who has been transferred as Commissioner of the Land Records Department, and welcomed the new Deputy Commissioner S.J. Somashekar at a function held recently.
Both officers were felicitated with shawls, fruits, tambula and mementoes. Speaking on the occasion, Venkat Raja described his tenure in Kodagu as a fulfilling experience and advised officers to work with transparency and without pressure.
New DC S.J. Somashekar recalled their joint service during the Covid period and appreciated the patience and dedication of district officials. Several senior officers, including ZP CEO Anand Prakash Meena and Additional DC R. Aishwarya, highlighted Venkat Raja’s contributions in revenue reforms, land issues, elections, Aadhaar distribution and inter-departmental coordination.
Officials from various departments praised his leadership and guidance.Â
